This is why we don't DO THE WORD!!!

Image
Image: www.ted.com   Hello people, I know it's been ages since my last post. Has God not been faithful? We made it to the end of the year 2016. How has this year been for you?  OK I feel a need to write this post as we begin to round up and say good bye to 2016. Now, I must sound a warning:  NB: This Post is not for the faint hearted so if you think you can't handle it, please stop right here.

The Danger Of Going Through the Motions

Image: www.pleasantview.org Hello reader, I know it's been ages since my last post. I don't post just to post something, when a new post is coming, I have the strong urge in my spirit. There after, a title will come to me and I'll begin to write in my notes. Ok enough of the story. Here's another one!  This title came to me this night and it's a summation of my quiet observation of so many things going on in and around me. Take for example, when we go to church, we'll do Sunday school, progress to the worship, prayer etc all the way to the benediction. Week in, week out we repeat almost the same cycle. It's sometimes so predictable that we can become actors in this stage and not be genuinely saved. Some people that really need God don't even bother to show up to church cos they know we'll barely scratch the surface of the main issue. This is dangerous. Why you may ask? It baffles me when I see the number of church attendees in...

This body of clay!

Image
NB: For the purpose of this write-up, I'll use the term 'body of clay' referring to 'body made of dust'. The thought of our bodies being made of dust crept into my mind as I sat quietly on my sofa reminiscing about life. It was a silent observation and lesson I was taught by something within. The thought flowed thus:

Do you know?

““For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 NLT That everyone who believes in him will not perish! Perish in what? Perish in pornography, perish in unforgiveness, offence, hatred, drug addiction, sex addiction, violence, homosexuality, bitterness, rage, depression, lies and the rest of it all.   Anyone who believes will be set free. So how do we believe?

What is your identity?

Image
Hello there, this question popped up in my head while I was going through life journey. In this life many things define many people, things like money, family name and inheritance, marital status (does your marriage define you?) becoming a parent (does your children define who you are), the colour of your skin and on and on the list goes. The question is if you're stripped of all of these things, would you still have an identity?

I can cheat or be promiscuous because i'm a MAN

The dictionary defines a mindset as a fixed mental attitude or disposition that predetermines a person's responses to and interpretations of situations.  This is the very basis of ones perception or belief of something. Hence, if you have a right mindset you'll produce the right results and vice versa.  Here is a popular belief I'd like to challenge in this write-up: 'I can cheat or be promiscuous because I'm a MAN - this is my nature and I just can't help it!'

Your secret life, your greatest enemy!

Photo credits: www.daniellefong.com What is a secret? The dictionary describe it as something not known or seen or not meant to be known or seen by others. It is something we try to conceal, cover up and don't want the light to unveil.  I discovered that this is a weapon the enemy is using to destroy so many lives. If you look closely, you'll discover that a very paramount feature of sin is secrecy.
