Youth


This youth section was born out of a request from a youth who visited my blog and noticed that there was no section for her age group. So by God's grace, I'll write things that are relevant and outsource materials that will add to you in this section. Welcome!!! I hope you're doing great today???

So if I may ask: who is a youth? Wikipedia says' Youth is the time of life when one is young, but often means the time between childhood and adulthood (maturity). Definitions of the specific age range that constitutes youth vary. An individual's actual maturity may not correspond to their actual age, as immature individuals can exist at all ages. Youth is also defined as "the appearance, freshness, vigor, spirit, etc., characteristic of one who is young".

UNESCO also says “Youth” is best understood as a period of transition from the dependence of childhood to adulthood’s independence and awareness of our interdependence as members of a community. Youth is a more fluid category than a fixed age-group. However, it'll help to define the age range in case you're in any doubt.

The UN, for statistical consistency across regions, defines ‘youth’, as those persons between the ages of 15 and 24 years. So you see that those in the later age group (20-24 years) can still benefit from the Singles section on this blog.

This stage of your life is a very crucial stage that you need to take seriously! This is where you begin to shape who you want to become amidst the peer pressure, external influences such as media, culture, and traditions, etc. The way you handle this time of your life will either make or mar your destiny so please be very sensitive and value your life and destiny because you're going to be great!!!!

So the very first thing I'll advise you as a youth is that you prioritize your relationship with God and do not compromise your faith with any temptation out there!!! Who knows the purpose of your life better than your creator so it will be in your best interest to do everything you can to know God most especially at this stage of your life. If you can embark on this journey, you've got a treasure that money cannot buy. It'll be your guide as you go along this life's journey. So I'll stop here for now. What is your identity?

In this life many things define many people, things like money, family name and inheritance, marital status (does your marriage define you?) becoming a parent (does your children define who you are), the colour of your skin and on and on the list goes. Do men really know what they are getting themselves into when they say they want to get married?

Come on people, let's talk! You know while watching Bisi Olatilo show, I saw people dancing and celebrating as a man and a woman were joined together in holy matrimony! People congratulated them, they both danced and you know during the traditional engagement - they told the man to wave bye bye to all the single ladies! I wish that was easy as it looked!!!! Hmmm! You know from my own experience; if you've ever been privileged to do the traditional engagement you'll discover that everything you do there is symbolical of the virtues you need to embrace in marriage! Think about it! So back to the men - have you discovered that most marriage troubles stem from the man?
