Why should we persevere?

In a world where, if it's broken, dump it; is fast becoming the slogan and the philosophy people live by. No one wants to endure, suffer or wait for anything. We are in a microwave generation. 

As I observe life and reminisce, life silently thought me that, if you don't endure some things, u might willingly walk out of the plan of God for your life and there by, people that ought to be blessed through you, will be deprived of it or another vessel will be used to replace you to carry out the original intended purpose. 
Nobody said life was going to be easy! By the way, if you're young n reading this, my dear, life is full of ups and downs. Please don't let anyone fool you by telling you that you will not encounter any challenges in life. Challenges or troubles are the very elements that makes life what is it and worth living.

So my dear reader, what are you passing through in this season of your life that you feel you can't take anymore? You're tempted to take the next easy way out! I want to encourage you to hang in there. Stay focused! Endure and ask for the grace of God to be given to you every day because most times, yesterday's grace might not be enough for today.  

It's time to carry your cross and take it step by step, don't worry, you'll make it to the finish line. Remember, all that you're going through today might not make sense to you now but in few years time, you'll understand it better because you'll see a bigger picture. So my message to you at this time, is to be encouraged, don't give up, persevere my dear!

Do men really know what they are getting themselves into when they say they want to get married?

Come on people, let's talk! You know while watching Bisi Olatilo show, I saw people dancing and celebrating as a man and a woman were joined together in holy matrimony! People congratulated them, they both danced and you know during the traditional engagement - they told the man to wave bye bye to all the single ladies! I wish that was easy as it looked!!!! Hmmm! You know from my own experience; if you've ever been privileged to do the traditional engagement you'll discover that everything you do there is symbolical of the virtues you need to embrace in marriage! Think about it! So back to the men - have you discovered that most marriage troubles stem from the man?

What is your identity?

Hello there, this question popped up in my head while I was going through life journey. In this life many things define many people, things like money, family name and inheritance, marital status (does your marriage define you?) becoming a parent (does your children define who you are), the colour of your skin and on and on the list goes. The question is if you're stripped of all of these things, would you still have an identity?
