Lessons to learn at this time!

Everyone is quick to point out the great deficiencies in the Nigerian
system but if we think deeply, there is a great lesson to be learnt here.

1) As a person, how are you ruling your daily life? Leaders are not made in a day! One flaw we can see from our Nigerian President is the lack of leadership and ownership of a situation to, at the very least, find a solution to the present problem. So I thought to myself, how can I learn from this situation?

In whatever field or position you find yourself, you must learn to take ownership and be pro-active in a wise manner to find a solution to a particular problem. Don't be passive, blaming everyone else for your inaction but stand up and do something about it immediately. You must conquer procrastination and face issues head-on.

For example, as a leader little injustice, dishonesty or corruption at any level must not be condoned because if it's allowed to thrive, it'll grow and cause great havoc in the future.

2) Every one is quick to laugh and expose the First Lady's level of illiteracy but what can we learn here?  This is especially for the woman married to a man of vision. Please and please invest in yourselves daily. You must be improving on a daily basis! Discover your weakness and work on it because you never know; you might be the First Lady to a great leader some day and this will expose your virtues, tenacity, and education. So please, stay informed!!!

By the way, you don't have to be married to invest in yourself so now is the time to start!!! Go for that course, read that book, attend that seminar etc. Do something!!!

My conclusion is that, as subsequent things will be unfolding, don't just do the easy thing to join everyone to point accusing finger, learn from the situation and do something to better equip yourself make positive changes to help yourself, neighbours, family, communities and our great nation!
